Food Lion, Coca-Cola and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) have launched an essay contest for students attending a CIAA school. To enter, interested students can submit a 500-700 word essay on the following: How does my CIAA school impact my community?

The prizes are as follows:

• Four winners will receive a $5,000 scholarship grant plus two tickets to the CIAA tournament on February 28 – March 1, 2014 in Charlotte, N.C. with two nights hotel accommodations and $500 for travel expenses

• 15 first place winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship grant
